Bali is My Life Launch a great success

The first official launch of the Bali is My Life promotional campaign for the Bali Recovery project held in Denpasar on Sunday, and officiated by the Minister of Culture and Toursim, Jero Wacik, was a great success.

Minister Wacik said I’m very pleased that the amount of work that has been done to launch the Bali is My Life campaign has paid off with a positive launch. The creative is very strong and I recognize the ingenuity in making Bali ’s greatest asset the central focus – its people.’

“I’m also very thrilled to have received the Travel and Leisure best island holiday destination in the world award on behalf of the Balinese people. It reaffirms that what Bali has to offer visitors remains unsurpassed. Our island offers travelers so much from the luxury escape, to surfing and a beachside life, to world class shopping, cultural richness, fine dining and everything in between. I for one am proud to say, Bali is a part of my life.

Minister Wacik, who is Balinese, received the award on behalf of the Balinese people from the Travel and Leisure publisher, Peter Bakker, who came to Bali especially for the event.

The Bali is My Life promotional campaign for the Bali Recovery Project is the result of months of hard work by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bali Provincial Government the Bali Tourism Board and its stakeholders and the Bali Hotels Association.  This promotional campaign is part of a collaborative effort to reassert Bali as a destination of choice for all discerning travelers.

The Bali is my life promotional campaign will be launched to the Balinese community on 09 December with island wide celebrations centered around an exciting event in Denpasar which will have all manner of entertainment, from parades and bands to traditional drama. Pak Bagus Sudibya, Chairman of the Bali Tourism Board said, ‘I anticipate that the community launch on 09 December will be as great a success as today if not more. I envision Balinese people all over the island wearing Bali is My Life badges and t-shirts to publicly display that we all embrace the reality that Bali is our life and we want tourists to come back and make Bali a part of their lives too.’
