Best Island in the World by TIME Magazine

Readers of PATA Premier Partner TIME magazine have voted Bali the Best Island in the World. The award was presented to Indonesian Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Jero Wacik (pictured) at the launch of the new Bali is My Life brand.

Minister Wacik said: "The Industry in Bali can use [awards such as these] as a tool to promote Bali. The magic of Bali is indestructible."

On the new brand, Minister Wacik said: "We really hope that all components of tourism will accept this tag-line as the single branding for Bali. We are digging into the real life of the Balinese, the village life of the farmers, dancers and gamelan groups, painters and artists, surfers on the beach and little children going to school in the villages through the rice-fields."

The new Bali is My Life campaign, introduced in Australia, Japan and Korea (ROK), will soon be launched in Europe.
